INTRODUCTION TO THE MORTGAGE BROKER ON THE ROAD
We bought the BEAUTY – our 2020 Solitude GK310 (GK stands for Grand Kitchen) made by Grand Design in June 2020 from Outdoor Travels in Beamsville. Beauty paired up beautifully with the Beast – a half ton 2020 Silverado High Country Diesel. We spent a wonderful 5 months living in it from July until November of 2020 (the Covid year) when we were between homes. The comfort of the Solitude GK310 made it wonderful to live in even though we had moved from a 5000 square foot home, where we lived with Hussein’s parents and our two boys. The only place we could park our fifth wheel was in Nor Halton Park in Acton, run by Pete and Debbie Bridgewater who are still wonderful friends. We enjoyed living in a small town so much that when our house on Dixie and Lakeshore was completed, we knew it was no longer going to be our “forever” home!
Before we knew it we looked at a cottage on Lake Erie in Port Maitland, fell in love and bought it! That is also where we start our 10-week journey across US.
Our plan is to travel through as many national forests, parks and state parks as we can over a 10-week period. Since Hussein is retired and I am a busy mortgage broker, I plan to go mobile with my office. We planned the first 2 legs of the trip which included 8 stops books until the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Tennessee. The rest of the stops will unfold as we go… I have divided each segment of our stop into 5 components.
- The Physical: Usually the main activity, theme or event of the day
- The Emotional Insight: The inspiration, the insight I gather or an excerpt I read from the book I am reading at the time.
- The Spiritual: An insight into my spiritual practice
- The Intellectual: Some update on my mobile work, as it is unfolding during the trip
- The Social: Wrapping up how they compare with living the camping life
